Position Overview

Field Service (FSL) Solution Architect

The Solution Architect will serve as the technical lead, guiding our customers and our team through the software development lifecycle. As part of their role, the Solution Architect will lead requirements sessions and transform the requirements into user stories that highlight the features of the proposed solution. Then they will use their advanced knowledge of the Salesforce platform to craft a design that meets or exceeds the customer’s needs and makes the best use of what Salesforce has to offer. Once development begins, the architect’s involvement will include a mix of hands-on configuration and oversight of work assigned to other team members and will continue through the build and testing phases to ensure the solution comes together as designed.  

The Solution Architect position can be remote or in our Annapolis, MD office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienc
  • 5+ years’ working with Salesforce as a Solution Architect 
  • 10+ years' operating as an externally facing consultant 
  • 2+ years' experience with Salesforce Field Service (previously Field Service Lightning)
  • Three or more Salesforce Cloud Consultant certificates 
  • Experience developing project approach using industry, functional, and technical knowledge 
  • Proven ability to lead requirements gathering sessions with clients and bring new insights, ideas, and best practices into discussions 
  • Experience developing a comprehensive technical design based on the requirements uncovered during requirements gathering, leveraging all the capabilities of the Salesforce platform 
  • Able to effectively direct available resources in a manner that promotes a strong team environment and ensures the team is properly utilized 
  • Experience designing solutions leveraging Visualforce and Apex  
  • Experience designing solutions leveraging Lightning Components (Aura or Web) 
  • Capable of participating in pre-sales cycles to scope and price opportunities

Education and Required Experience

  • Service Cloud, Field Service or Health Cloud Consultant certificate 
  • Healthcare industry experience 
  • Experience with complex system integrations, preferably involving Salesforce.com Experience with web services: JSON, XML 
  • Experience with some or all of the following: A C-based language (preferably Java), SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (any popular framework)
