Position Overview


As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will play an integral role in the high satisfaction of the design and development of scalable, high-quality Salesforce services and solutions. The Solution Architect is responsible for owning the overall design of the technical application as well as recommending best practice solutions based on client business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participates and facilitates in customer requirements and solution design workshops
  • Captures and maps business requirements to system/technical requirements and identifies gaps and risks
  • Assess and make recommendations on processes, designs, operations, and testing
  • Understands the technical depth of the project and validates the correct resources for the project
  • Manages and participates in the entire software development lifecycle
  • Recommends alternative approaches, analyze impacts, and provide sizing estimates
  • Leads design and code reviews
  • Analyzes and mitigates bugs and issues
  • Leads release planning and deployment
  • Designs, develops, tests and documents scalable, high-quality business solutions to be built on the Salesforce platform
  • Conducts unit, integration, and performance testing and work closely with users for user acceptance testing
  • Supports pre-sales engagements, estimates, solution design and can articulate what requirements have changed
  • Writes technical specifications (for custom development, system integration, etc.) jointly with the developer team
  • Documents build plans and delegates work to developers and system administrators
  • Works closely with our clients to assess their current architecture and architect solutions that meet their current needs
  • Articulates the value of recommended solutions and approach to customer

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years consultant experience in a client facing role
  • 3+ years of Salesforce implementation experience
  • Strong experience leading technical requirements gathering and solution design sessions with clients
  • Superior experience identifying and documenting business process and technical requirements, developing process flow analysis, data modeling and functional design experience
  • Experience writing user stories to capture business requirements
  • Experience managing project team relevant to the delivery of the technical solution
  • Strong experience in enterprise-level projects using Agile software development methodologies throughout the whole development lifecycle
  • Strong experience designing or building Salesforce integrations with third party systems
  • Experience with data migrations from third party systems to Salesforce
  • Has familiarity and first-hand experience with third party solutions that support vertical objectives
  • Strong Salesforce development and design skills including: Apex, Lightning, SOQL, Process Builder, Flow and other standard and advanced Salesforce automation tools
  • Understands all aspects of Salesforce current and future release functionality including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Communities
  • Understands the importance of scalability and maintainability
  • Understands when to use a declarative solution versus a code solution
  • Strong experience leading release planning and deployment
  • Superior experience recommending alternative approaches, analyzing impacts and facilitating sizing estimates
  • Superior experience conducting unit, integration, and performance testing and participating with users for user acceptance testing to support a successful project outcome
  • Superior experience analyzing and mitigating bugs and issues as needed to support a successful project outcome
  • Strong experience leading design and code reviews
  • Superior experience leading release planning and deployment
  • Strong experience leading client training
  • Superior experience demoing a solution to the client
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Application Architect and System Architect Certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
  • Experience with integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Boomi or Informatica
