Challenges

This customer had invested in Sales Cloud to manage their accounts, contacts, and opportunities, and to monitor their sales pipeline. They needed the system to be configured for their unique business and sales processes.

There are three main divisions in this company, and they wanted to separate the sales process for each one. They wanted to be able to manage this data along two unique alignments:
  • by division
  • by customer Accounts
They also wanted to automate and improve Dashboards so they could see the sales process and pipeline for each company division.

Solutions

Stony Point led the implementation and configured Sales Cloud to separate the sales of each division using Opportunity Sales Processes, Record Types, and Page Layouts, with associated security settings. 

The Stony Point consultant worked with the customer's team to learn their account management process so that data for Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, and Quotas could be captured as they wanted. 

At several points during the process, the Stony Point consultant reviewed the changes and progress with the customer's team to get feedback.

Stony Point created custom Reports and Dashboards.

Results

Sales Cloud is now customized for thei specific sales needs.

Using the newly created Reports and Dashboards, they can now see:
  • opportunities aligned by both the client Account and the three company divisions
  • the Annual sales quota target at each account level 
  • Quota vs. Actual sales by the individual Account record 
  • Quota vs. Actual that can be reported on across Accounts or by the three company divisions
