Challenges

This customer had already invested in Sales Cloud, and needed an implementation partner to provide strategic guidance and to help customize their instance of Salesforce.

They were already tracking leads, accounts, contacts, and some opportunities in Salesforce. In addition, several custom objects were tracking the NPV (Net Present Value) of Opportunities and also Commissions.

They were using CSV/Excel files and Access to create proposals and to manage, process, and tabulate their customer's billing data and commission-able revenue. Once this data was compiled in Access, commission data in Salesforce was manually updated. It was a time consuming manual process with lots of opportunities for error.

Solutions

Stony Point configured Accounts and created separate Account Record Types to accurately manage their customers and their partners (phone carriers, etc).

Stony Point also added a Location object. If there are multiple locations for a business, Salesforce users can now note and track which location gets services and what those services are.

Stony Point completed data migration from Excel and Access. 

Results

Sales Cloud is ready for growth. As this customer grows and gains more customers, Salesforce can help them manage more customers and the many different types of agreements that come with growth.
